This is a home improvement company specializing in roof replacements, and also installs replacement windows and doors, applies new siding, soffits and fascia, installs new gutters and downspouts, builds new sunrooms, additions and decks, and produces many interior remodels each year. As the economy slowed in October of 2008 and inbound calls all but ceased by January 2009, it became apparent that traditional lead generation systems were insufficient to keep the technicians working full-time. The regular marketing budget simply was not producing a recognizable return on investment.

Rather than close the doors and blame the economy, a corporate decision was made to take advantage of the situation created by the recession and work out of the downturn one household at a time. After success in the Greater Lafayette market, D2D expanded to the Indianapolis north suburbs and began providing confirmed appointments for a new, start-up company in the home improvement contracting field. The results were equal to those of the existing firm in Lafayette, proving that local canvassing, done the right way, will yield superior results in any location.
